"Reflecting on my early career with Tom Barrow, I can confidently say it has been a positive and impactful experience.
I was given the opportunity to start working in the estimating department during my last semester of college. This was my introduction to the HVAC industry, and I was lucky enough to work with a team that genuinely invests in its people. I commend this team for remaining approachable and patient as I stepped into this role. This experience provided me with a valuable foundation that helped me work my way into an inside sales position. I was given the opportunity to visit and learn from manufacturers, contractors, engineers, and owners, all of whom play a valuable role in this industry. This transition to a fast-paced environment allowed me to see our business through a wider lens and further supported my professional growth. Each position gave me a different perspective on the HVAC industry and helped me build the knowledge and relationships that have allowed me to grow into my current role as an outside sales engineer.
I’d like to give a special thanks to Tom Barrow’s Orlando branch. One of the things I enjoy most about working here is the people. As cliché as it is, most people spend more time with their coworkers than they do with their families. Throughout my time here, senior leaders have gone above and beyond what’s required to mentor me and others around the office. Their willingness to share their experience, push me outside of my comfort zone, and invest in my development says a lot about the type of professionals and people they are. This creates a competitive environment built on collaboration, respect, and integrity that is a privilege to be part of. I believe the culture has allowed me to build relationships that extend beyond a professional setting and is a major reason I will continue to grow with Tom Barrow.
Looking back at where I started in college compared to where I am today, I’m thankful for the opportunities Tom Barrow has given me and for the people who have helped me along the way."
