This month we’re featuring Ron Proden, our TBCo VP and Orlando Branch Manager who has been on the Tom Barrow Company team for seven years.
When asked what makes TBCo Orlando unique, Ron highlighted the experienced management at the branch that was in place when he arrived, and the tight bond the Orlando crew shares. “Our office is unique in the sense that we enjoy spending time with each other, not only during the workday, but we also get together outside of work. This builds a bond that helps us work better as a team.”
He is proud of TBCo Orlando’s expansion and growth. “In the time I’ve been with TBCo, both our company and our office have grown tremendously. At the branch, we have tripled our workforce and grown our sales even more in the last seven years. This is a lot of growth for any company, but I am most proud that my team has been able to do this while maintaining our integrity and our reputation in the marketplace.”
Ron shared that Central Florida is a great place to be right now. “We have strong markets in this region with growth in healthcare, universities, and, of course, theme parks, but I’m most excited about the jobs we have secured with the Space Coast. We sold a unique product line for the first time for one job, and I see a lot of opportunity with this line in the future, which is exciting. It’s fun to be part of the rapidly growing space industry on the east coast of Florida, especially when we watch the launches.”
Outside of work, you’ll find him on the water, either at the beach or on the family boat. “Being on our near the water just gives me a sense of relaxation.” He also enjoys, traveling, snow skiing, and attending sporting events of all kinds, including ice hockey, which he played in the past.
