Sarnelli update 2025 News

Posted on January 21, 2025

We’re pleased to share an update about Sarnelli House, an organization Tom Barrow Company is proud to work with as part of our commitment to giving back to our global community. This organization provides refuge for abandoned and abused children affected with HIV/AIDS in Northeast Thailand with a focus on education and vocational training.

Under the guidance of its founder, Father Michael Shea, Sarnelli House works towards these guiding objectives:

  • To provide a safe home and the basic needs for all children living in Sarnelli House
  • To help children and adults living with HIV/AIDS to access proper health care and treatment
  • To empower children to study for their education or vocational training so they can become valuable members of their society and fulfill their potential as best they can
  • To foster the values of love, sharing, forgiveness and responsibility

2024 Recap

TBCo recently received updates on the fifteen children sponsored by the branches. 2024 was a year of milestones for the children of Sarnelli House as some of the younger students graduated from one school and moved up to the next, excited to wear new uniforms and develop new routines. The teenagers grew socially and academically, while gaining independence and taking on more responsibilities within the community. The young adults continued their studies in higher education and vocational school, with some of them looking into next steps, like work experience and internship placements. Fun was had during the school break with outings to a cinema and a waterpark.
